About Cleveland, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in White County, Georgia, Cleveland is a small city with only about 3,400 people. It is the county seat and is located about 90 miles northeast of Atlanta. The community was originally founded in 1857 and was incorporated in 1870, and it was named after War of 1812 General Benjamin Cleveland. The White County School District serves the area, and Truett McConnell University, which is a private, Christian school, is located in Cleveland.

Despite its small size, there are several things to see and do in Cleveland. The North Georgia Zoo and Petting Farm is a popular destination for families with young children, as is Babyland General Hospital, which is the birthplace of the popular Cabbage Patch dolls. Residents enjoy spending time at World City Park, which includes a walking trail, a small baseball field, and a playground, and wine lovers may like to check out Yonah Mountain Vineyards, Serenity Cellars, or Cottage Vineyard and Winery.

One of the major benefits to living in Cleveland and the surrounding area is the weather. The winter months are mild compared to the rest of the U.S., and average daily highs tend to reach the mid-50s. Unfortunately, cold snaps with freezing temperatures and even periodic snowfall are still possible, so residents need to be prepared with a heat pump or furnace. Not only will they need to invest in these systems, but proper maintenance is also a necessity to keep them running at peak performance.

Temperatures are drastically different during the summer, when average thermostat readings are well into the 90s. This part of the U.S. is also very humid, which can make it feel even more uncomfortable. In order to beat the heat, it is crucial that residents have access to a reliable central air conditioning system. During the hottest days of the year, these appliances could literally be a lifesaver.
